My love affair with the camera started when my father handed over his old SLR to me at the age of twelve. I have long since moved on from developing my own film to digital photography and I am most passionate about portrait photography. After having two children of my own my interest firmly lies in newborn baby and family photography and capturing the love, fun and joy that families share with each other.
I love to add a bit of drama, I love interesting light and interesting expressions - as much as I love a cheesy smile just for the camera I also love the beauty of an unposed natural shot. To me that is what makes pictures unique and memorable and special enough to grace your walls for years to come.
In 2016 we moved our whole family from London, England to Canada! I am now Toronto based and the majority of my work is in the West End (Roncesvalles, Bloor West, Ossington, Junction, High Park, Christie Pitts), Downtown Toronto, Midtown and surrounds.
As a family photographer I specialise in newborn photography, baby photography, children's photography and family portraits. My work has also been recognized and featured in Newborn Magazine, Photography Magazine in the Children's Portrait category, This! Magazine in the Best of Children's photography category, and on children and baby photography blogs such as Magic of Childhood and Child Photo Competition as the 'photo of the day'. I look forward to hearing from you!
As a newborn photographer my clients entrust me with their babies when they are at their tiniest and most vulnerable. Newborn safety is very important to me and I uphold the highest standards. I have been photographing babies since 2012 and have worked with many families and many babies during this time. My posing techniques are always led by what is comfortable for your baby. To ensure that I have the required knowledge to create beautiful unique images of your baby, I have completed training on how to safely pose newborn babies with some of the world's leading and most experienced newborn photographers - including Rachel Vanoven, Erin Tole and Sandra Hill.
